Jackson, Wyoming Monday, September 16, 2012, / — Grand Dynamics International, a Jackson based company, is starting a new Jackson tradition, the First Annual Tough Towner Ultimate Community Obstacle Course. The Tough Towner allows Jackson Hole to be part of the recent wave of Adventure Obstacle Races that continue to take the nation by storm.

The race takes participants four miles through town to the Rodeo Grounds through Jackson’s four major local parks: Miller Park, Davies Recreation Center Field, Mike Yokel, and Phil Baux. At each park destination, racers complete fun obstacles, including crawling through sand, climbing cargo nets, running through tires, snaking through culverts, climbing over straw bales and climbing over walls.

This event is not exclusive to the Jackson Hole elite athlete, but designed for a wide variety of ages, skills, and abilities. Individuals, Teams, and Businesses are welcome to enter.

“We’re really excited about the response so far with several businesses getting
behind the concept and getting involved. What could be more fun than racing
around the town block to our local parks while overcoming challenges and helping teammates along the way? It’s the perfect off-season event!” – Tim Walther, CEO, Grand Dynamics

There are four ways to get involved in the Tough Towner:

Participate: Fast and fun race classes. You can do it!
Volunteer: Be part of the coolest race in Jackson! Help construct obstacles, flag the course for participants, and cheer on those Tough Towners! Free T-shirts and post-race beverages.

Sponsor: Be part of the event by trading goods or services. Claim an obstacle and make it your own! Your sponsorship includes branding, participation entries and much more!

The race is slated to take place on Saturday, October 20th, from 8am-5pm. With Halloween just around the corner, costumes are welcomed & encouraged. For more information on how to participate, volunteer, sponsor, or to simply spectate – please register at: www.toughtowner.com
