What happens when we bring the power of shared experiences into the conversation about workforce mental health?
At Grand Dynamics, this question connects directly to our purpose: helping individuals, leaders, and teams reach their highest potential. When people build trust, discover new capabilities, and learn to support one another, they create the foundation for a stronger organization.
On October 8–9, Grand Dynamics participated in the Western Governors’ Association’s Health Beyond Healthcare workshop in Jackson, Wyoming. The event brought together perspectives on some of the West’s most pressing mental health challenges, from workforce shortages and rural isolation to well-being in western industries and the role of outdoor recreation.
For us, it was an opportunity to bring the conversation to life through experience.
We extend our thanks to Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon for his commitment to addressing mental health and advancing this important conversation across the West, and to Curtis Biggs for the invitation to participate. We were grateful for the opportunity to contribute and connect with others working to build healthier communities and workplaces.
A Workforce Looking for More
Behind every business objective is a team of people. Their energy, relationships, and sense of purpose shape how they show up each day.
Yet many employees are considering a change. Gallup reported that 52% of U.S. employees were watching for opportunities or actively seeking a new job in May 2026. Greater work-life balance and personal well-being also ranked as very important to 60% of employees considering a new job in 2025.
For business leaders, these findings invite an important question: What kind of experience are we creating for our people?
A connected workplace takes intention. It requires leaders who listen, teams that communicate, and opportunities for people to recognize the value they bring to a shared goal.

Mental Health in Motion
During the workshop’s “Mental Health in Motion” session, Grand Dynamics founder and CEO Tim Walther led an interactive experience designed to get participants moving and connecting. Julie Elledge of Mentor Agility followed with a Story Quest Walk incorporating stories, movement, and small-group coaching conversations.
The session created an opportunity to explore attention, connection, and resilience through direct participation.
This is the heart of experiential learning. A shared challenge gives people something real to work through together. Communication becomes visible. Patterns emerge. Participants can discover something new about themselves and the people around them.
Those discoveries create the “AHA!” moments we help teams carry back into their organizations.
Stronger Leaders. More Connected Teams.
For nearly three decades, Grand Dynamics has used experiential training and development to bring out the best in business leaders and teams.
Our work supports workforce well-being by developing the leadership and team relationships that shape everyday working life. Through customized experiences and facilitated reflection, we help groups practice clear communication, build mutual trust, and navigate challenges together.
Imagine a team that feels comfortable asking for help. A leader who recognizes when someone needs support. Colleagues who understand each other’s strengths and approach a difficult situation with a shared sense of purpose.
These are the everyday opportunities to put leadership development into action.
Taking the Experience Forward
Our participation in Health Beyond Healthcare reinforced the importance of creating space for movement, connection, and meaningful conversation.
Whether through an executive retreat, a team expedition, or an interactive conference experience, our goal is to help people discover what is possible together—and apply that learning long after the event ends.
A healthier workforce is a goal worth pursuing. Stronger leaders and more connected teams help create the conditions to move toward it.
Ready to invest in your people? Connect with Grand Dynamics to create a customized leadership and team experience that turns potential into action.
